“After losing our beloved dog, Kacie Marie, to a brain tumor in August 2018, my husband and I adopted Kismet (formerly “Jessie”) from No Dogs Left Behind.
I can’t even begin to say how special the people from this organization are. I’m beyond impressed at what lengths they will go to for these precious animals.
One of the rescue’s volunteers even took Jessie into her own home for 5 days until I could make arrangements to fly her down to Florida. Kismet is one of the best rescue dogs we’ve ever owned and we are so in love with her already.
She is so incredibly sweet and gentle, very smart and super funny! It’s amazing just how sweet and gentle she is despite what she had been through in China. I attribute this to the amazing volunteers at NDLB who pour their hearts and souls into each and every animal in their care.
She arrived housebroken (she had a few accidents but that’s to be expected with any new pet) which is amazing. We’ve never been that lucky with our other rescue dogs – we’d have to potty train them. So this was a nice bonus.
Our vet said she’s a very healthy girl and he thought she was the sweetest little thing. She will be starting an obedience class in the next couple of weeks but she already knows the “come” command – she learns very quickly! It’s unbelievably rewarding to see the personalities on these precious dogs blossom once they get to their forever homes!”
