I first discovered NDLB a while back. I had learned about the Yulin Dog Meat Festival through Instagram . I remember googling it and crying hysterically on top of my laptop. I needed to help. I wanted to help. I wanted to do my part in getting those dogs out of that hell. Through my research I came across No Dogs Left Behind. I adopted my first survivor in 2019. He was saved by Jeff on the famous 6/19 rescue. He stole our heart. But in my heart I knew I wasn’t doing enough. I eventually became an active volunteer for the organization and now I am lucky enough to be a part of the team as the Volunteer and Foster Coordinator. This experience has made my heart so humble. The first thing my husband said to me when I became more actively involved with the organization was to promise me “no more dogs” we had three at the time. I saw Rudd’s profile while working and was instantly attached.. My first dog as a child was also a Bichon. This is how my love for dogs grew. I could not say no. My husband was not happy with me… until I brought him home. Rudd is the best little brother to his big brothers and sisters. We fight over who gets to cuddle him at night. He is the best addition to our home and we can’t imagine life without him. I can honestly say there is no better feeling in life than adopting these dogs and watching them grow to love and trust you. I am so thankful for all of the work that Jeff and the team on the ground does that brings these innocent precious lives to safety. Without them I wouldn’t have my most precious four legged children 🙏🏻
