No Dogs Left Behind has grown immensely in the last few years. We are dedicated to keeping the momentum going as we expanded our reach to focus more on government advocacy. Saving dogs through emergency response will always be essential to our work yet we recognize without the development of animal welfare laws that are upheld no real change will occur.
Our journey began in Henan. With humble beginnings, we did the best we could to treat and care for our survivors. During this time the 5 Pillar approach was developed. The locals in Henan were incredible to us and the dogs. Overall, we felt support from the community. We would have remained there if not for the Chinese government forcing us to close the location due to the construction of the Yellow River Project.
For the past few years, we have been at our Beijing shelter. With 5 beautiful parks at the shelter, indoor and outdoor pens for our survivors Beijing looks and feels more like a sanctuary than a shelter.

As No Dogs Left Behind continues to expand and save lives through emergency response evacuations. We have opened two additional facilities: the Dayi and Gongyi refugee bases are now operational as we quarantine and treat our survivors at these locations. Both properties need renovations to bring them up the sanctuary level of Beijing. Through donations and committed followers, we are raising funds for our building campaign.
