Volunteering with NDLB is not just about helping dogs—it’s about becoming part of a global movement for compassion, animal welfare, and change.
We offer flexible volunteer opportunities for adults, youth, and families, both on-site and virtually. Every volunteer is a vital member of our team, helping us save lives, raise awareness, and provide critical care for dogs rescued from the dog meat trade.

VOLUNTEER OPTIONS
1. Join the NDLB Volunteer Army
Our adult volunteers play an essential role in supporting our mission. Opportunities include:
- Assisting with dog care at our shelters (feeding, walking, socialization)
- Helping with medical and rehabilitation support for rescued dogs
- Participating in community outreach and awareness campaigns
- Event planning and fundraising support
- Administrative and social media support

2. Youth & Family Volunteer Program
We believe that instilling compassion and advocacy in young people is critical for creating long-term change. Youth volunteers, ages 12-18, can participate in:
- Educational programs at local schools and events
- Social media campaigns to spread awareness about the dog meat trade
- Supporting virtual events, fundraisers, and campaigns
- Assisting in shelter visits under adult supervision

3. Virtual Volunteer Opportunities
If you cannot volunteer in person, there are still many ways to support NDLB from home:
- Social media advocacy and digital campaigns
- Graphic design, photography, and video editing for awareness campaigns
- Writing blogs, newsletters, and content to promote rescues
- Assisting with research and reporting on animal welfare issues

ADDITIONAL VOLUNTEER ROLES
- Dog Transport Support: Assist with the safe transport of rescued dogs from shelters to forever homes.
- Fundraising & Event Assistance: Help organize campaigns, auctions, and other events to fund rescue operations.
- Community Outreach & Education: Represent NDLB at schools, universities, and community events to spread awareness.
Foster Program Support: Assist volunteers fostering rescued dogs by providing guidance, resources, and check-ins.
