I can’t say enough good things about No Dogs Left Behind they are a truly special organization that goes above and beyond

While I have done pet sitting in our home for the past few years, we promised my sons that we would get our own dog. While searching online I came across the group No Dogs Left Behind. From the minute I read about NDLB and their mission to end the dog meat trade in China, I knew I wanted to get our rescue dog from them. My son and I picked out our dog, Millie, a grey-silver poodle, from their website. Brandy was super helpful and walked us through the whole adoption process. NDLB also has a Facebook group where you can communicate with other adopters and ask any questions you might have.

During our wait to get Millie, we were routinely updated with photos and videos of her with Jeff, or with her dog roommates at the shelter. When we finally received the call that Millie was all set for her freedom flight, we were thrilled! We picked up Millie from JFK airport on November 28th. It was a great day and so much fun to talk to other adopters there and meet some of the volunteers. They were all wonderful!

Millie is an amazing dog and has been through so much. Shortly after she arrived in the US, we noticed that there was something wrong with her back leg. After a trip to the vet, it was determined that she had a dislocated hip. I communicated this to Jeff, who immediately got in contact with our vet. No Dogs Left Behind covered the cost of Millie’s surgery and I am happy to report that she is making good progress towards her recovery.

I can’t say enough good things about No Dogs Left Behind. They are a truly special organization that goes above and beyond to make sure the dogs get the very best care throughout every step of their journey! We are forever grateful that we had the opportunity to adopt Millie! She is a trooper, and she has fought through everything that life has thrown at her. We are honored to provide Millie with her furever home! Thank you No Dogs Left Behind! You guys rock!
