Fritz is one of the dogs that were saved on March 23rd 2020 and we adopted him a week later. Due to COVID, he wasnāt able to fly to JFK until November 28th 2020, and even though we were so excited to get him, we always knew that he was in good hands at NDLB and he was with his best friend Penny throughout his whole journey.
We got lots of video updates of Fritz while we were waiting for him, which reassured his well-being and made us even more excited for his arrival.Ā
The day finally came around and Fritz got on his freedom flight to his forever home along with 87 other dogs! He trusted us from day one and he follows us everywhere! Fritz gets super excited about any kind of food but is so innocent, trusting and friendly, that you would never think heās a rescue. He was in perfect health when we got him and we noticed right away that he has been trained to walk on a leash by NDLB which he is really good at. He even walks stairs without problems and isnāt scared of anything (except the big dog down the street that always barks at him). He has problems being alone and cries most of the time, but heās always with his new sister which makes it a little easier. They get along well but are typical siblings- they love and hate each other at the same time.Ā
Thanks to No Dogs Left Behind Fritz was able to have his first Christmas in his forever home this year and he loved every second of it. All he really wants is love, cuddles, and attention all day long.Ā
We love him so much and couldnāt imagine being without him anymore. We could not be happier with what NDLB has done for Fritz and all other dogs. If you ever have the chance to own a dog, rescue an angel from No Dogs Left Behind and fight the good fight to help make this world a better place.
