I want to give a huge shout-out to everyone at o Dogs Left Behind for bringing my sweet little corgi, Lily, all the way from China.
The horrific conditions many dogs face in the meat trade are heartbreaking beyond words. While so many people understandably look away because it’s too painful to see, these incredible people do the exact opposite. They risk their own safety, dedicate countless hours, navigate unbelievable logistics, and pour their hearts into rescuing dogs that would otherwise face unimaginable suffering.
Bringing Lily home wasn’t a quick or simple process, but every minute of waiting was worth it. The amount of coordination, paperwork, travel, and care that goes into safely rescuing a dog and bringing them to Canada or the U.S. is truly remarkable.
I can’t recommend this organization highly enough. They go above and beyond for these animals, giving them a second chance at the loving lives they deserve.
